Sprue Cutters Union #7: Your Significant Other...

I have enjoyed this hobby for quite some time now, and my dogged participation even predates my wife and I's relationship. She married into modeling, and therefore must put up with all the idiosyncrasies that come along with it. She handles my obsession well, with a smile and a nod most times, and for that I am genuinely thankful. A happy wife makes for a happy husband, and a happy husband in this case, is a happy modeler.
So, for this week, I want to know...

- How does your spouse (significant other) view your hobby? -

Do they support you? Do they participate?
Now remember, your spouse might read your posts so be sure to pick your words carefully (see above reference to "happy wife" = "happy modeler"). I'm curious to see how you all will respond and I'm sure there will be some great anecdotes to read through this week!
Of course, if you don't have a spouse, or other special relationship, just tell me what the people closest to you think of your hobby. And, if you're still looking for a relationship, maybe showing her your stash on the first date is moving too quickly...just a little friendly advice.

Remember, all it takes is a passion for this hobby and a blog to go along with it! All you have to do is write a post in response to this topic by Sunday and you can be a member of the Sprue Cutters Union. Take a look at the Sprue Cutters Union page for more detail. Once you've written your post, either email me the link or drop the link in the comment section below.
The goal is to send new readers to our sites, so don't forget to include the links to other modelers' responses when you get an opportunity.
Spread the word.
